Experience
I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching English and math. I graduated from the College of New Jersey with a master's degree in teaching. I also attended Rutgers University, where I was able to earn a special education certification. Before I completed my master's degree, I taught ESL for three years in South Korea. During my time in Seoul, I had the opportunity to teach students at many different skill levels and ages. During my graduate program, I worked as a student teacher at the elementary school level. I have also worked as a long-term substitute teacher for fifth grade, fourth grade, and second grade. I am comfortable tutoring students in grammar and mechanics, literature, phonics, reading, writing, math, and English at the elementary school level. My experience teaching students at many different grade levels helps me build a good relationship with my students. I am able to communicate with students at every skill level and age. I am passionate about learning. I enjoy sharing this passion with my students and doing my best to assist them in becoming more interested in academics and learning. In my free time, I like to read and participate in art.
